Having grown up in Taiwan, Switzerland, and the United States, Crystal shares a multi cultural vision and which she applies to her modern aesthetic. She takes her experiences and transforms these raw materials as a source of inspiration for her creativity. She is constantly seeking unique ways of creating her own design process. Crystal’s graduation thesis focuses on the documentation of time, and has created her own sloper as part of her personal system. By recording the experiences of her senior year, she is able to express her close bond with fashion. She also strives to incorporate innovative textiles that are accompanied with by clean and modern silhouettes. Crystal’s work shares a tranquil yet engaging design aesthetic that emphasizes the balance of color, textile and silhouette. During her time at Parsons The New School for Design, she participated in the first Luxottica x Parsons glasses design competition and won first place with her teammates. She was also elected for the Swarovski sponsorship finalist for thesis collection.
